Research & Impact
Clinical Informatics with Dr. Shuhan He drives innovation from applied research through deployment and scale. Our core activities focus on building reproducible infrastructure, developing new computational approaches to patient care, and shaping how science itself is published and shared.
Computer Vision Phenotyping Platform
We are advancing computer vision tools to extract new metrics of human health and behavior—from gait analysis in rehabilitation to behavioral markers in neurology. Our platform combines multimodal imaging, markerless tracking, and AI to quantify aspects of patient function that were previously invisible, enabling earlier diagnosis and personalized treatment pathways.
Scientific Publishing & Standards Platform
We are developing infrastructures for reproducible science, including structured publishing, FAIR metadata, and automated capture of methods. This work ensures that data and models are transparent, traceable, and reusable—accelerating discovery and making open science practical for researchers and clinicians alike.
Innovative Care Models & Informatics
We partner with clinicians and health systems to design and evaluate new care delivery models powered by informatics. Examples include analytics for emergency care flow, hybrid digital-physical interventions, and decision support tools that prioritize usability and trust. The goal is to move beyond prototypes and build solutions that change how care is delivered at scale.
